Spotify Free vs Premium in Alarmify

You don't need Spotify Premium to use Alarmify. Here's what works with each plan.

Spotify Free

With a free Spotify account, you can use the Alarms tab:

  • Browse and select songs from Spotify
  • Wake up to 30-second clips of your selected song

Spotify Free users cannot use Smart Wake. Smart Wake requires Spotify Premium because it needs full playback control to play music before your alarm time.

Spotify Premium

With Spotify Premium, you can use both Alarms and Smart Wake:

  • Everything in the Alarms tab
  • Full-length songs, playlists, and albums in Smart Wake
  • Customizable gradual volume
  • Sleep calculator and sleep music

Don't have Spotify?

You have other options:

  • Apple Music: Works with both Alarms and Smart Wake. Requires an Apple Music subscription. See Apple Music for details.
  • Music Library: If you have songs downloaded on your device, you can use them without any music subscription.
  • Built-in sound library: Alarmify includes a curated library of sounds you can use without any music subscription.

You don't need Spotify at all to use Alarmify.
