Does Smart Wake work offline?

Yes, partially. When you pick a sound (song, playlist, or podcast) while online, the app automatically saves a short version of that sound on your device. If, at alarm time, there’s no internet or Spotify connection, the alarm will still ring by playing that short version on loop (the backup alarm). To hear the full version of your sound, you must be online and connected to Spotify.

You can use alarms offline for days (even in airplane mode) as long as you don’t change the selected sound; if you want to choose a new sound or play full content, reconnect first so we can load it and save its short version.
